That "hyped (and obviously quite inferior)" distrobution Ubuntu Edgy, worked perfectly with my Acer 5050. the "best" linux Suse 10.2 didn't detect the hd sound card(no sound) didn't detect the ethernet( a dead simple realtek 8139) and didn't work with wireless. does this mean Suse is inferior because it didn't work for me on this computer? Well, it is inferior for me( I actually loved it on my desktop) but it may be the best out there for someone else(like you).
